Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*******IMPORTANT****** IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF OUR DOGS PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Doug is a young male stray from Madison County Animal Control. When he joined GEBR in he was thin with poor quality fur from bad nutrition. He had infections in both ears and cherry eyes so large that he can barely see. He had one undecended testicale so he needed to be neutered and was heartworm positive. His front paws are splayed; evidence of living in a crate (with no plastic bottom).
He has had his cherry eye surgery and neuter and is just about finished with his heartworm treatment. He gets along with dogs. We have yet to see him around cats or children.
As soon as he finishes his heartworm treatment he will be ready for adoption.
