My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This fluff of cuteness is Mariah. She's a Lhasa Apso / Shih Tzu mix. Through unfortunate circumstances, whatever they may have been, Mariah found herself in a scary shelter with loud noises and hard floors to sleep. Her fur was matted and she was dirty from the roughness of the streets. Under the matted, is a real beauty.
Her personality fits the breed specs perfectly - Sweet with a bit of Sassiness! Like all breeds though, she has her special quirks. Mariah loves to go outside, take walks or rides in the car, as well as sit beside you while you watch TV. She has a strong personality: affectionate and playfull with a small dose of stubbornness (although yogart will win her over every time!). Mariah doesn't seem to mind her foster dog siblings, but likes to do things her way and on her own terms. She shows interest in the cat, but does not try to chase it. Two older children live in her foster home, and she enjoys their attention as well, but very young, inexperienced children are not recommended.
She is micro-cipped, up to date on her shots, spayed, house and crate trained. In fact, her crate provides her a lot of comfort. Her new family will need to be patient as she adjusts to her new home, but she will shower you with love and kisses once she's comfortable. Someone with experience with the breed or adopting a shelter pet is preferable, but not necessary to bond with this sweet baby.
