Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beaujolais (you can call him BoJo, for short) is a regal Beagle who showed up at a local resident's home about 2 months ago. The resident was unable to keep BoJo any longer so he was brought to the shelter. Beaujolais is a refined Beagle who walks VERY well on leash. He doesn't spend his time baying but rather listens very well & is very responsive to different voice tones. He came into the shelter complete with over 20 ticks, that our volunteer has worked to remove. BoJo tested well with other dogs during formal testing but has not yet been cat-tested.
Beaujolais is ready to be someone's companion of a lifetime. He is a very versatile Beagle who can be on his best manners in full Beaujolais mode for formal occasions or he can "go casual" and "just BoJo" as you enjoy your favorite TV shows. He'd love to be your lapdog!
The shelter does not have the ability to heartworm testing, deworming or vaccinations on-site; however, for reputable rescues, local volunteer assistance is available for transport to a local Vet clinic for such testing and to obtain appropriate vaccines and Health Certificate at the rescue's expense.
In order to pull animals from Ashe County Animal Control, rescues must be approved by the Lead ACO. The approval process involves submitting an application, available by emailing fabulousmcg@gmail.com or calling the shelter directly. As part of the application, rescues will need to submit copies of their adoption application, adoption contract and 501c3. Rescues will also need to provide a Vet Reference.
