My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Wyatt and my foster family tells me I’m wonderful! I’m a big, grown boy, weighing in at around 90 lbs. I can’t remember exactly when my birthday is, so I’m not sure how old I am, but I’ve got a lot of life in me! I’m very well mannered. I know my basic commands such as sit and shake. I’m completely house trained…when I want to go out, I just go to the door and wait. I’m all around a very nice, polite, calm loving boy. I just love to be loved on and talked to! I get very playful if there are tennis balls or Kong toys around! Fetch is my favorite game! When I want to play, I’ll bring the ball to you. I could play fetch all day! I have two foster sisters, a weimy girl and a lab girl, and I just love to be around them. It makes things so much better having them around when my foster parents go to work during the day. I get the run of the house, or the yard with them, and I’m very well behaved during the day! I’m also learning that it’s okay to be the only one in the house from time-to-time. When my foster mom exercises us all, she takes us on separate jogs. At first I was very unsure about being the only one in the house while the girls were out on their jogs. I needed to rest from being very thin, but I wanted to go with so badly, and wasn’t sure about being home alone. I now realize they always come back to get me, and I’ve gotten very comfortable in my foster home! I’ve gained a few much needed pounds, and although I was so thin, I’m a big, strong healthy boy and love and need my jogs with my foster mom to keep developing and maintaining my muscles and handsome, toned figure! I do great on the leash walking or jogging. Also as a big, tall weim, I’m self-sufficient in the kitchen. AKA, I’m natural counter surfer…my one and only bad habit, they say. My foster parents don’t seem understand that I’m just trying to help out by taste-testing anything that’s left out to make sure it’s edible! I love to snuggle and be a couch potato, but right now I’m only allowed on the sofa if I’m invited. My Weimy foster sister is the guard around here, and I love to help her with guard and patrol duties. I help her to protect the house and people that live with us. You don’t have to worry about a thing…I hear everything, and I’ll let you know everything that’s going on…from letting you know a car has pulled into the drive, to letting you know there’s a rascally rabbit needing chased out of the back yard! My foster parents don’t have kids, but they do have friends with little kids that come visit, and I’m very gentle with them! I love people, small or tall…and I love dogs, preferably big like me and my foster sisters. My foster dad is convinced that I’ve been trained to hunt. I get very excited to see birds; love to sniff out rabbits, and I have an extremely high prey drive. In a nutshell I’m a sweet, loving gentle giant and all around a good boy! My foster family loves and adores me and they say I’m one of those dogs that will enrich your life! I’d go on, but I just spotted another tennis ball and it’s time to go play fetch and then get some head scratches and belly rubs! Gretna, NE
