Sam is a throw away hound. He was found like many starving to death on the side of the road after hunting season. I'm guessing he wasn't hunting to the satisfaction of his hunter. Sam had visible collar markings which somewhat proves he was left behind on purpose. He is a very sweet boy and has many years of love and loyalty to give. Come meet Sam he will win your heart.
