Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Dobby. When my foster mom first saw me she thought of the sad servant elf in Harry Potter because I was cowering but wanting so to please and was so very skinny. My eyes and ears also sort of look like the fictional Dobby.
My life had been pretty miserable, no food and the people I did know hit me. Now, I know life is only going to get better and better, I am here with people who love me, other dogs love me and even the cats are fond of me. I love all of them too. I am not a big dog, about 25 pounds.. We think that I am about 2 or 3 years old. My foster mom tells me my girlish curves are coming back now that I am a healthy weight.
I am not sure what breed I am but my foster mom thinks Mountain Fiest is in my lineage. I hope so because that breed has a long and noble history in Appalachia as well as America’s colonial past. George Washington owned a Fiest to hunt small game with. The only things I hunt though are yummy treats.
I have been spayed, had all my shots and am heartworm negative. Dobby will not have an accident in the house. I am housebroken.A pleasing nature is mine and I am so happy to see people who love me and I show it by wagging my whole rear end. We are working on leash training and basic obedience and it is fun learning. I go on long walks thru the woods and fields off lead and stay with the other dogs and come when called.
I am ready to transition to my forever home. This dog cannot be adopted to Massachusetts residents per their pet import/quarantine regulations. (SHARP} Please click on to this link to find out more on adopting this dog. <
