Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Okay, so I am not a Dalmatian. And I don't have spots. But look at me! I am adorable! My name is Samantha. I am a very lucky little girl because I was pulled from a very high kill shelter in rural Kentucky. Thanks to a bunch of nice ladies, I am safe in a foster home and anxiously waiting for my very own forever home. I am a Black and Tan Coonhound mix and I'm still a baby at about 6 months old. I still have a lot of growing to do. Don't believe the rumor that coonhounds aren't good family pets. That is SO NOT TRUE. Coonies love being part of a family. We are very social and love kids and other dogs. If you get me early enough I might even like your cat, but no promises! I listen really well and have already learned to sit for treats! I am up-to-date on my vaccinations but I won't be available for adoption until after May 14. I am being fostered in Huntington, WV.
My adoption fee will be $150. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit our website at www.drswv.com and complete our online application. If you have any questions about me, please contact kristi.austin@drswv.com.
