My name is Cobia, I have a ton of nick names though. Some call me Coa, or Coca Cola, but my favorite name is Cobi which was given to me by my foster sister. I’m a handsome boy as you can see, I am 1 year and 2 months old. If you notice you can see that I have these really cool and super awesome SPOK ears. You see when I was a puppy my breeder cropped my ears himself, I’m not sure what he used but it caused me a lot of pain and infection when he stitched them up with fishing line. I’m a super strong boy so I pulled through and my ears healed up and now they just add character to my already coolness. It didn’t stop there I have been in and out of 2 or 3 homes with the wrong families, one family even kept me for a weekend and then just took me to the middle of somewhere and just let me go. I was scared and alone and it was dark, I’m afraid of the dark sometimes, so I tried my best to get into someone’s house, and that’s when I scared someone so they called Animal Control on me. I spent almost 2 months in Animal Control and that’s when my Demodex flared up, I lost all the hair on my rear and also around my neck. Bye the way I was born with a skin condition called Demodex, it isn’t catchy or anything, it just itches a lot, it was all healed up but the stress just caused me to get all itchy again. I was down to my last day at Animal Control and they were going to euthanize me, I’m not sure what that is but it doesn’t sound fun. Luckily my friend came and picked me up just 2 whole hours before that was going to happen…boy oh boy was I lucky, I think I have angels all around me! After that I was placed with my foster mom and dad, I love them very much. I have 2 human foster sisters, so I’m good with kids that are 10 yrs. or older. I also have a foster sister that is a doggy like me, the only reason we get along is because I’m kind of bossy and she doesn’t mind. I like to play rough and jump and I love attention so it would probably be best if I could have all your attention to myself. I would prefer to be your only doggy! I am super smart and listen well, but sometimes I get distracted so I will need consistent training. I have a few behaviors but with a lot of training and me being your only doggy, I know I will try my hardest to be a good boy. I love to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. My foster family loves me so much and would like very much to keep me, but they really want to keep saving doggy’s that need help just like I did. And because they Love me soooo very much, they are going to make sure that I go to the very best home. I would also like to let you know that they took such good care of me that all my hair has grown back so shiny and soft. I went to the vet this weekend and they said I tested negative for Demodex, I’m so super excited I get to stop my medication 2 weeks. I’m super healthy and have all my shots, they don’t need to be updated again until the end of May. I also can’t have babies so you won’t have to worry. I even ask to go outside if I have to use the bathroom, I love to talk but sometimes I can’t remember to use my inside voice when I get excited. I have been through so much in my short life I’m just ready to settle down and run and play with my new family. I LOOOOVE to play!!
