My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I am Holly. I am a 1 yo Lab to Leash retiree and I am looking for my FOREVER home. If cuddling and snuggling is your thing, then I am the beagle for you! I may be the cutest little dog you ever set your eyes on...all 15 lbs of me! I could be a little timid at first, but once I feel comfortable, the true beagle in me comes out. I love people, kids (young and old), and other dogs. I have not had much exposure to cats, so I am not sure how I would do with them. I LOVE to get attention and affection from anyone and everyone, so a family may be best for me.


I am still working on my house training, but have been starting to get the hang of it. I still need a lot of positive reinforcement. I understand the words “yes” and “no” and can sit (most of the time) when asked unless I am just too excited. I get used to routines quickly and I am crate trained, but I don't really love my crate. I still have a lot of puppy tendencies, though, so I still like to chew and grab things and have crazy zoomies around the house. Running around and playing with my squeaky toys are some of my favorite things to do. I can entertain myself for a while with a great toy, kong or nylabone. I love to chase after toys that are thrown to me or in the air, then play “keep away” with them. In between that I enjoy cuddling on the couch or just being held like a baby. I am great on a leash and enjoy getting out to smell all the grass and flowers on long walks. A fenced in yard is really what I am looking for, though! I am not really a fan of car rides, so it would be better if my forever home was made up of homebodies! :)


I really am an amazing, loving and precious dog. Everyone who meets me falls in love with me. I will make a great addition to anyone’s family and will love you unconditionally.
