How awesome is this PURPLE snake??? Abby is a captive bred and hand-raised Albino Aberrant California Kingsnake.

You don't see very many of these in pet shops - ever. They are a very rare, specially bred (in captivity only, these colors don't occur in nature) for their colors and patterns, and this one is bright purple and yellow! The photo of him was taken when we first got him about a month ago, so he is about twice as large as in the photo now (about 10-12 inches long), but still eating pinkie mice or rats.

When full grown he will not be very large, 5 ft MAX, but usually will get to be about the same size as your average garter snake. Kingsnakes are NOT venomous snakes, although they will eat other snakes, so this guy must be housed ALONE. Can live up to 15 years!
