Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Flynn, a 12-18 month old red miniature longhair male dachshund. At first he was a bit shy and quiet, but now he has blossomed and is quite curious and active. Flynn was found running as a stray on a major road near a vet clinic. One of the vet techs there took him in, and attempted to find his owner with no success. At that point, she contacted us and we came to get him. Flynn has been immunized, but will be having dental work to removed an infected tooth; and will also be neutered and microchipped at that time. He has some skin infections on his rear feet which are being evaluated so that the proper treatment can be put in place. We would estimate he would be ready to go to a new home around June 1rst; possibly sooner if no complications arise with his scheduled vet work.
UPDATE May 18: Flynn's foster mother reports that Flynn has really come out of his shell and any shyness he arrived with has long since vanished!
"There's nothing reserved about Flynn - he's not a big barker but he's very busy. He loves to play and needs to know what everyone is doing at all times. Flynn thinks he's Martha Stewart - he helps (un)make the bed, (un)fold the clothes, (mis)match the socks, (re)arrange the rugs... Well, you get the picture. When he's awake it's like he's under the effects of a Starbuck's double shot espresso... Then when he's worn himself out he's the nap king!"
"Flynn comes when you call him. When he's been outside, he politely sits at the door until you invite him back in. Since his neutering his housetraining is really coming along well. We don't think he's as old as the vet estimated - he acts like he's about 18 months at the most."
