Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
When I first saw Bekkah at a county shelter, she was in a run with several puppies, and I and the shelter staff thought she was a puppy, too. She had come in with an injury to her front leg, and the shelter manager thought it might have been a broken bone, and when she took Bekkah to the vet to have the leg examined, we all learned that not only had poor Bekkah been shot, but that she was a year old! The vet said that he thinks Bekkah will eventually start putting weight on her leg again, and go on to use it almost normally. Indeed, as I write this, Bekkah is starting to put weight on her leg. She runs and plays with other dogs as if nothing is wrong. She has a delightful, endearing personality, and is the type of dog who will be the best friend you've ever had.
Bekkah has exquisite brindle markings on her face, and on her hind legs there is an area where she has white and black stripes like a zebra! She is fully grown, and weighs just 26 pounds. She has a calm, undemanding nature, and in the time she has been here, I don't recall hearing her bark a single time. Bekkah is crate trained, and because she is so good with other dogs, she has the run of the house much of the day, and appears to be housebroken.
Bekkah's adoption fee is $150, and includes up to date vaccines, heartworm test and current prevention, spay, and microchip. This sweet and beautiful small dog would make a wonderful addition to just about any household. To find out more about Bekkah, please email reinashouse@yahoo.com, or call 336-552-9885.
