My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pearl is a very special girl. You see, she is probably at least 15 yrs old. She has lost an eye at some point in her life, and she has fallen on hard times. She is very thin, has a hernia, is not very steady on her feet, is missing patches of hair... and has a heart of GOLD. She is grateful for the smallest of kindnesses- a blanket, a soft bed, food, clean water, and a few kisses. She was her little bald nubbins at us when she sees us, and waits to be picked up. She then Blesses us with a few little kisses. This sweet gentile lady, was loved at some point. She was someones special baby. Pearl is houstrained, unless not taken out often enough, very quiet, enjoys companionship of humans and dogs and cats. She is a tiny thing, barely 6 lbs, and about 8 in tall. I pray whoever did love her once, knows she is safe and loved again. Pearl came into our local shelter as a stray! After the 3 days mandatory stray hold, she is now in rescue, and will always be safe from here on. Pearl will only be adopted to a VERY special person meeting our approval. We are prepared for her to remain with us as an AMPS Special Needs Senior.
