My story

HELLO to you! WHAT AN AMAZING RESCUE STORY I HAVE TO TELL YOU!!!

I am Posey – I look just like a Maine Coone Kitty – I am sweet but very shy – I do like to sit on shoulders though and I squeek when I want to be petted! My sister, Rosemary, is just like me – only she is a dark tortie – not always an easy color for adoptions, so we would like to have a home together. We also have a brother – Cheddar – and he is bright orange! We are all long–haired and not yet 2 years old. We were all taken to a shelter along with our orange mother and another (orange) brother. The shelter accidentally let our mother out and she escaped, but we were only 4 weeks old. Because they do not support kittens under 8 weeks of age if they do not come in with a mother, we were very lucky that we got out alive and SPA took us in and cared for us! We were fostered by another mother (who had two kittens) and so we got lots of love from a mother kitty. Our surrogate mother is Mrs. Violet Rose – she is a gray tabby and adoptable as well! One of our brothers was adopted (Sweet Potato) but we were shyer and so the THREE of us still need homes.

We are loving, sweet, and though we are shy, we like to be held. We would need a family that is understanding and patient, and would let us be shy for a little while until we adjust. We'll let you cut our nails and comb us, but we are not very outgoing. Please give two, or even three, of us a permanent, loving home for the rest of our lives, and then we can all be a happy family together!
