My story

Look at that face!!

Burt is a very sweet 2 year old Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff) mix, who knows sit, stay, and he especially loves to show off his, shake-a-paw. His history is unknown but his rescuers believe he was probably a yard dog and experienced very little. His favourite things are anything soft. You can tell he is experiencing them for the first time.

Burt can be curious and can sometimes get over stimulated around other dogs but he will likely relax in time. Being abandoned has been very hard for Burt so right now the first things he needs are structure and consistency. Because of his limited experience, Burt needs someone who will teach him what is appropriate. He would do best in a quiet home, at least in the beginning.

Burt is a big (approx 120 pounds and he needs to put on weight) rumbustious puppy so he will not go to a home with toddlers unless you are experienced with big dogs. Burt is ok with older children and teenagers.

Burt would love to be someone’s very special dog and spend his remaining years being loved and spoiled.
