Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karma is purebred female great pyranees puppy. She was born on a farm in rural ohio and bred to guard goats. When she wanted nothing to do with the goats, her farmer owner thru her away and she thankfully landed in rescue before the animal shelter. Karma is a typical puppy once you gain her confidence but it is clear she has not been treated well in her young life. When we first got her she was extremely thin - to the point of starving. She now eats with gusto but will guard her food from other dogs. She is not food aggressive with humans but she is nervous when you touch her food. While with training, love and trust she will require training and a watchful eye when feeding her especially if you have another dog. For this reason we do not feel Karma is the best choice for a family with small children. She is about 30 pounds at four months so not a huge pyr but since she had a bad start she will be at least a large dog - maybe a very large dog only time will tell that. Karma is getting better and better with strangers but does stand back a little until you get to know her - especially with men. With her foster mom she is a normal bouncing, happy puppy. Because of her poor treatment by humans in her early months she will need patience and a kind hand to win her trust - but clearly she has come a long long way and will only improve in the right home. Her adoption fee is $425 and includes spay, microchip, shots for her age, deworming, transportation, quarantine, and health certificate. We prefer that you contact us by email with a little bit of information about your family or home situation to help start the process. Brief text messages from smart phones will not be answered!
