Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Abbey Rose! She is a whippet mix, weighing approximately 30 pounds and is approximately 3 years old. She is a very loving and sensitive, sweet little girl with a winning personality. She came to us a stray and was very thin, flea infested and scared. With some TLC, good food, medical care and baths she is now sleek, shiny and healthy with a gorgeous light brindle coat. She sheds very little, so there is minimal grooming needed. She loves all her special little treats like a Kong with peanut butter, chew bones or dental chews. Abbey is a very excitable little gal, but after some play time, a nice walk or run she settles down and is content to lie quietly by your side or in your lap. Abbey does not like other dogs at all. This is probably due to something bad that happened to her when she was on the run as a stray. She is best suited for a home where she is the only pet; however she does seem to think that cats are ok. She does adore people and wants nothing more than to be loved. Abbey is spayed, current on vaccinations including bordetella, lepto and rabies. She is heartworm negative and is on both heartworm and flea prevention. She is micro chipped and negative for internal parasites. Abbey will require at least a 5 to 6 foot privacy fence in order to keep her from becoming a stray again. If you think that you might be able to give this very loving little whippet mix her new forever home, please go to our website and fill out an application, a volunteer will get back to you right away. An approved adoption application and home visit are required. Her adoption fee is $125.00, and what she will give you back in love, devotion and companionship is priceless.
Abbey desperately needs a home with someone that will love and protect her, someone she can trust. Are you that someone? Do you have a place for Abbey?
