Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Finn and I'm a very handsome guy, or so I've been told (many times!). I'm a mix of two working breeds...maybe German Shepherd and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, we really don't know. The only thing I do know is I like to have a job. I really enjoy having a purpose and something important to do. Otherwise, I get a little bored and anxious. I just know I should be busy all the time! I do like to cuddle though, and after a long day, I like to curl up for a hug or two (or three or four...). In my previous home, there were several children and they were very nice to me, but I was always a little nervous. I think I would like older children better. I get along with my foster siblings and would like another canine to play and romp with in my forever home. Since I'm so young (I only just turned a year old on March 3rd), I would do better with an older dog that can show me the ropes. I also do pretty well with cats, the cat we have here really likes to play with us dogs. My foster mom and I have been working on my training and my manners. I'm a fast learner! My previous mom and dad taught me how to sit, stay and fetch, and how to shake paws! I love to shake! I'm always trying to give my foster mom my paw...in hopes of getting a cookie of course! Right now, I get a little scared of new things and loud noises, but I'm learning that the world is a fun place and nothing to be afraid of. My foster mom and I like to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by. I love to be outdoors. I enjoy long walks, treats, quiet time in my crate (it's my favorite get-away) and a good bone to chew on. Since my activity level is high, I really need a mom or dad that would take me on walks and play lots of games with me. I think I would be a great jogging partner! I'm completely house trained...not a single accident in my foster home, thank you very much! I'm also crate trained and leash trained. I would love to be a part of your family, and I think that you would really enjoy having me around. I can be pretty silly sometimes and my foster mom says I can be a lot of fun! I just need a family that is willing to help me. Finn's adoption donation is $150 and that includes his neuter, current vaccines including rabies, lepto and bordetella, fecal test, microchip, heartworm tested negative and current on prevention (has been on prevention all his life), current on flea prevention. If you are interested in adopting Finn, please go to our adoption page on our website and fill out an on-line adoption application. Home visit is required before adoption.
