Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Buster is a wonderful boy who was rescued from a shelter the day he was to be gassed. He looks to be a shepherd hound mix, is about a year old and full grown at 55 pounds. Buster is a VERY playful, happy, friendly dog who gets along with everyone he meets! He enjoys playing with other dogs and has been okay with the outdoor cats he has met, but hasn't lived with an indoor cat. Buster was fostered by a family with a two year old and is very friendly with children, but can because he is a puppy he might be a little rowdy for really little kids. Buster loves going for walks, playing with toys, and running around in a big fenced yard. He'd be a great dog park dog as well. Buster is house trained, crate trained and sleeps well through the night. He would love to have another dog to play with and a family who likes to go for walks. Buster also needs a fenced yard. He is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. His adoption fee of $300 is to cover his neuter, heartworm pill, distemper/parvo, rabies and bordatella vaccines, worming, flea/tick prevention and he has a HomeAgain microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.
