We have one adoption application under review for Calvin.Calvin is a fuzzy two-year-old Pekingese boy and is the most laid back dog his foster parents have ever had. They were starting to think that he was a sloth/Pekingese mix as Calvin just doesn’t get in a hurry to do anything. Not much phases him and he loves to nap on his back while he regales you with a symphony of peke snores.
When he first got to his foster home, Calvin was shy and withdrawn but he is fast coming out of that. He loves to wag his tail when you talk to him and will come right over (or Calvin’s version of coming right over) and let you pick him up for lots of snuggles and pets. Calvin would do well in a house or apartment. While he doesn’t really interact with any of the other fosters and foster siblings he doesn’t mind them either. He is one mellow fellow.
Calvin is still working on his leash walking but he loves to go outside and mosey around in a fenced area. Calvin’s housetraining is coming along but he is completely crate trained. He will be fully vetted and ready for his new home on April 16th although we already know that Calvin is heartworm negative, and we have him on preventative. He’ll need his shots, neuter, and microchip to complete his vetting.
If you are a couch potato type who likes to get outside for a walk a day then Calvin is the guy for you. He is loving and low-maintenance-a perfect combination!
Adoption fee is $200.
