Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nelly" is a 6 month old puppy. She came to us from an east bay area shelter along with her 3 siblings. She's had a rough start in life. These puppies were very neglected and although they are 6 months old, they are the size of 2-3 month olds. The veterinarians think that they were starving for so long, their growth has been permanently stunted and they probably won't grow past 30-35lbs. They had sores on their feet from standing in urine for long periods of time as well as flea anemia. "Nelly" is the most outgoing puppy of the group! She likes to play with toys! Because of her young age, she would be fine in a home with other animals or children. Like all puppies, "Nelly" will require basic training including housebreaking. Although they are not available for adoption yet (they still need to be spayed/neutered and recover from the neglect they have suffered) we are urging anyone interested in adopting them to please contact us! If approved for adoption, you will be able to take the puppy home as a foster until he/she is fully adoptable. This puppy will be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, microchipped, and treated by a veterinarian for neglect by the time of adoption. An adoption fee of $175 will be required.
