Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
4/9/12 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
ADOPTION FEE: $150
Fostered in Washington
Weight: 5.8 lbs.
Age: 10 years
3/24/12 - Shelly found herself at a kill shelter when her elderly owner passed away and her son did not want to deal with her.
Shelly has been settling in well at her foster home and is getting along with her fellow yorkie siblings and kitty brothers. She is rather submissive and would do great in a home with cats and/or other respectful small dogs. We believe Shelly would also do well as an only dog, as she was an only pet at her previous home.
Shelly does not seem to have any interest in being on the furniture or on the bed. She seems to enjoy sleeping on her doggy beds and especially loves her Cloud 9 bed!
Shelly has a very happy appetite and gets very excited during meal-time. She had a dental and had many of her teeth extracted, but she is still able to eat regular dog kibble. She has been eating kibble mixed with a little bit of wet food, and loves it!
Shelly has done well with potty training and knows where she is supposed to go. She needs to be let out regularly (she has a small bladder!), but does well if you know her signals. She has also been using potty pads pretty successfully.
Shelly isn’t a huge barker, but makes sure to let you know she’s upset when you have to leave for work. She doesn’t bark when someone knocks on the door, rings the doorbell or even when someone walks by the fence.
Shelly is pretty independent and not super cuddly. She enjoys getting scratches behind her ears, but is not your typical lap dog.
Shelly does not ‘enjoy’ baths, but tolerates them. She does however seem to enjoy being blow-dried and will sit in your lap until she is dry.
