Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hinder will make a great companion. He is probably one of the rare dachshunds that is actually housebroken. He goes to the door, or will find you and bark if you are not paying attention. He does mark, but only outside. He loves to cuddle and sleep under the covers. He is crate trained, sometimes whines a bit being put in, but calms down quickly. He pulls on a leash, but most doxies do, loves to go on walks. Will run out an open door first chance he gets. Not necessarily an escape artist, just curious and if the opportunity arises. He loves to lay in the sun and to be outside. He loves new people and seems to like other dogs.
Hinder has had a seizure once since being in his foster home. He was surrendered because the owner said they couldn't afford his medical needs due to having seizures. He is being evaluated by a vet to figure out the extent of his seizures. We think they are stress related right now. The one he had in foster lasted 2 minutes and it took him about a minute to recover. It was very mild and the foster family almost didn't notice it.
Oolong Dachshund Rescue is pleased to help Sasha & Bear and other doxies like him. All of our doxies are spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative.
