Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blaze is SUCH a survivor and has made incredible strides in his medical recovery since entering our program! When we first met Blaze, he was just a mere pup of 7 months, found in a drainage ditch, nearly frozen, starving to death and he was very, very, sick. :(
Today, Blaze is a little over a year old and has received a full medical clearance for adoption! he has a full coat of beautiful fur and has reached his ideal body weight. He has the most adorable lazy eye, and one ear that flops over his head. that has now begun a path of learning and development towards his full potential. Blaze is an exceptionally smart kiddo the sky is the limit for this boy! He will surprise even the most seasoned dog person with his ability to learn to quickly. With the right leader, he will excel in any challenge that is placed in front of him! Blaze has definitely had a rough start in life and we fell that we probably found him just in time to turn that around. Now he is ready for the next part of his journey ...into a dedicated, loving home with his forever family. Blaze is a young kid that came into his puppyhood a little late in life due to being so sick in the beginning, he still possesses a lot of "PUPPY POWER" with other dogs, but it is all in the name of play! PLAY! PLAY! PLAY! is all this boy wants to do! He is good with other large dogs but, Blaze especially LOVES little dogs and shows it in his sweet appropriate nature! Contact us today to arrange for a meet & greet with BLAZE in your home!
As an all volunteer, foster based rescue, NMDOG is ALWAYS in need of new, approved foster homes in order to continue our work SAVING LIVES!! If you see a dog that you are interested in & it says "NEEDS FOSTER", we are currently looking for a temporary foster home for that dog in order to remove him/her from their present situation. There is never a cost to foster for NMDOG & you will have the support of the NMDOG TEAM every step of the way. To learn more about the NMDOG foster program & to submit an application to become a treasured NMDOG foster guardian please send an email to foster@nmdog.org
Our adoption fee is $250 which includes 6 weeks of obedience training (classes located in Albuquerque) & a complimentary vet wellness check. All adopted dogs also receive free or discounted goodies & services from many of our awesome supporters!! Grooming, food, training, boarding, pet sitting & more. All of our available dogs have received a full medical & behavioral clearance prior to adoption.
