Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Northern California Weimaraner Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Please visit www.norcalweimrescue.org to fill out our on line Adoption Application. MURRAY (nickname, "Duke") 2 y/o male Weimaraner. Duke is ready for his forever home where he will enjoy playing with his human and dog companions! He really likes children and is very good with them; he tolerates their activity and noise levels well. While in foster he has learned about so many new things in life; he is now comfortable around horses and good with the chickens. He knows about living in a dog pack (there are five dogs in his foster home), and is completely in love with Berretta, his Doberman girlfriend with whom he runs and plays daily (he quickly learned how fun a dog door could be as part of the game "Chase!" He and Berretta run into the house through the front door and chase each other through the house, out the dog door and all over the property (over and over, again!) Duke accompanies his foster Mom just about everywhere she goes - he rides well in the car and would rather wait patiently outside a store than be left home without her. However, Duke has learned to hang out on the property with all his dog friends while his humans are gone, but this was not possible until he learned to trust his new people would not leave him, so he will need a couple weeks of bonding with everyone in his new home before he can be left unsupervised for several hours. And, he must have a 6 foot fence as jumping over a shorter one to go out and find his person is not difficult for Duke. He will truly steal your heart and we wish for him to have the same devotion and enthusiasm in return. He is very smart and learns new tricks, rules and boundaries very quickly. Duke is house and crate trained. His only blind spot with learning is how not to pull on leash, so initially, he will need a dog savvy person to insist he not pull, then after a while (with ample exercise and good leadership), this bad habit should go away. It is so easy to give Duke what he needs; he is a joy to be around! Duke is neutered, micro chipped, heart worm negative, and current on vaccines. He was hit by a car few months ago, just before his owner gave him up; his injury is healed and the most recent vet report states that as far as his hip injury goes, he should not have early onset of arthritis as we originally thought he would. Duke is an incredible dog in every way! He is in foster in Medford, Oregon near the "Weim Angel" vet who treated him, so we are hopeful Duke can find a forever home match somewhat near Medford.
