Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This awesome, cuddly teddy bear just arrived into our program through no fault of his own. Teddy and his Mom were rescued from a backyard where they were abandoned. We know for sure Teddy's Mom was a purebred American Eskimo and we believe Dad was a purebred Keeshond who lived in the area. What a unique and wonderful combination of breeds! Teddy is an exceptionally sweet, calm and loving dog. He is blossoming into a great family companion ~ as we knew he would. Everyone who meets Teddy falls for him as he just sits, smiles and is so happy to be with his person. He did great at our PetsMart adoption day! Pictures don't really do this guy justice. He is very handsome, soft and cuddly; and quickly bonds to his person. Teddy is a little over two years old and weighs around 40 lbs. He is a quiet, loving, intelligent dog who would love nothing more than to put his head in your lap and be petted all day long. Teddy does well with other dogs , but wants all the attention for himself , so he may be best as an only dog .He is excellent with children (he is being fostered with two kids). He has never been around cats so we can't say for sure about them. He is crate trained, housebroken; and has outstanding house manners. Teddy would enjoy a fenced yard with his new home, so he can play and explore his new world safely. If you love all the positive attributes of the Malamute (did you know they are odorless?), but not the size, this might be the dog for you. Teddy will make some lucky person or family a wonderful lifetime companion ~ anyone would be lucky to adopt him. If you would like more information on adopting this great dog, contact Animal Heartline 630-341-3411. Because we are a small group of volunteers and home visits are a requirement for adoption, local adoptions only please (within 50 miles or so of Chicago/Naperville). Thank you!
