Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
As long as they go to a BSL FREE area, transportation will be arranged. These two will not be an easy placement, but they will make a wonderful addition to the right family!!!
Jack and Diane will only be adopted together. A perfect home for them would be somewhere that they are able to roam outdoors; if you have a barn, but no barn cats....Diane will get the job done! They both adore people; love snuggling, love playing, and love being outdoors!
Jack would be okay in a home with other animals, however, Diane will not. Absolutely NO CATS!!
Jack and Diane were found near death in an industrial area of San Diego; they were both starved, and had terrible cases of sarcoptic mange. Diane was so close to death I truly thought she died in my arms at least 3 times before we got them to the WONDERFUL Chula Vista Animal Care Facility. I cannot say enough good about this particular Animal Shelter. The vet is amazing, the shelter manager is amazing, and of course the shelter workers that spend their lives taking care of these poor homeless animals.
Their two 4 week old puppies, Noah and Jonah, were found earlier the same day, about an 1/8 of a mile from where their mom and dad were found. A dead puppy was found also. We have no idea how long this little family survived on their own. We don't know if Diane gave birth, and then somehow, she or Jack, managed to hunt to feed themselves? Or if they were dumped after the puppies were born. What I do know is that when found, Diane was too weak to hold her head up to drink water out of a bowl, so Jack used his gigantic head to hold her head up so that she could get a drink. He did this more than once. He also supported her when she tried to stand.
Jack and Diane are an amazing pair that deserve to live their lives together, and with someone who will love them, and give them the happiness they deserve!
