My story

Macy is a sweet, 3 ½ year old girl. She loves belly rubs and playing with her toys. Macy is a good companion and a wonderful snuggler. She loves to go for walks, and will “sniff out” any hole she can find. Macy’s not a chewer, except with her own toys. She is easily trained, and responds to several basic commands. Macy would be very well suited for a family of adults, or a family with teen-aged children (but not under 10 years old). She does have difficulty with other dogs at first, and requires a “warming up” period - usually a day or two - before she feels safe enough to “make friends” with other the dogs. Once comfortable with the other dog she loves to be with them! Macy weighs approximately 18 pounds. She was originally rescued from a shelter in far northwestern Illinois, and had a litter of puppies only a day after being rescued. Macy would love to be someone's BFF (Best Forever Friend).
