My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lilly is a 2007 Pony of the Americas cross mare, and she is about 13 hands tall. Lilly is friendly if she knows you, but she is very shy around strangers. Lilly was green broke to ride, and she had lots of energy and good forward motion when she was being ridden. However, Lilly has not been ridden in a long time, so she will need an experienced rider or trainer to refresh her ground manners and then continue her undersaddle training. Lilly would benefit very much with a patient adopter who is willing to give her the time she needs to learn to trust people. Once trained, she should be a great working pony for the right adopter. Lilly is located in Terrell, TX, and her adoption fee is $350.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Dogs are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by our volunteer staff. If potential adopters have a pet, we will check their veterinarian reference. Upon adoption of the dog, an adoption agreement must be signed. The average adoption fee for dogs is $125, but there can be some variation depending on age and status of the dog.
We have two different adoption procedures for horses, depending upon which rescue program the chosen horse is in. These procedures can be found on our website www.hopeforhorses.com.

More about this rescue

Hope for Horses Equine Rescue was incorporated in 2002 as a horse rescue. In fall of 2006, we began rescuing dogs, also. Since inception, we have successfully placed over 500 horses and 30 dogs. We have also placed several cats. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit rescue. We are an all volunteer organization, and our funding is primarily from donations and adoption fees.
If you have time or talent or simply wish to help support horses - our organization needs you!! Donations, volunteers, and foster homes are always needed and appreciated.
