Oscar - young (less than 3 years of age) - male/neutered - mixed breed - black short coat - approximately 50 pounds
For ever so long, Oscar hung back and let all the other dogs take a bow. Biding his time patiently, he was consistently written off or overlooked because he did not seem to make any effort to make friends with anyone other than his kennel mate, a terrified terrier.
Then, one day, Oscar was noticed by a potential adopter. Invited out to greet his public, Oscar took his bow, gallantly and humbly; he nuzzled and gazed gratefully at the first people who had ever really given him a chance.
We have no idea what breed Oscar is. He is an affectionate fellow with a deep desire to bond, and 8 months worth of energy to run off. He would reward adoptive interest with the full measure of a great heart. He probably will do best in a home with a secure fence.
