Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Posted Feb. 16th: Meet Xenia, a black 14 lb, 10 week old female lab/newfy mix. Xenia came to Angels on Wheels from a high kill shelter where she along with her siblings: Jesse, Bella, Stella, and 8 Ball waited for someone to notice them and give them a chance at life. We simply could not understand how these pups ended up alone and scared, but knew there was a much better place for them in a loving foster home from Angels on Wheels. The foster home has provided lots of new experiences with all sorts of sounds (including airplanes from the nearby airport), a resident Husky, and 10 yr. old boy. Xenia came to us as the runt of her litter and very scared and a bit weak, but with a little love, warmth, and food, Xenia has blossomed, making her foster mom very proud! Even though her siblings have 3 lbs. on her, Xenia can hold her own in the best of wrestling matches. She's not one to be taken lightly! Wanna add this sweet, fiesty, gal to your family and give her a chance at a loving life, then head to the angelsonwheelsanimalrescue.com website to download an adoption application or email sspratl@gmail.com and we would be happy to send you an application. PLEASE check and make sure your application is complete before submitting it. Upon approval, you will go to her foster home in Sugar Grove to meet this beautiful baby.
The adoption fee of $250.00 includes: Her spay (when old enough, but paid for by us), microchipped, up to date for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, dewormed with panacur, given albon and metronidazole as preventions, treated with Revolution for the prevention fleas and mites and mange . You will also receive a leash and collar, a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital or Wheaton Animal Hospital, a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.
The adoption also comes with a free puppy/doggy class through Flydogs located at Central Bark Doggie Day Care in Oswego, which introduces you to housebreaking, name recognition, crate training, sit/stay and leash walking. This is one free class you really don't want to miss, and 10% off purchase of a 10-day care package for dogs attending Central Bark Doggy Day Care in Oswego.
Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them. All breeds and sizes at maturity are best guesses.
Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home.
