Shadow - female, spayed, vet checked, vaccinated to date inclu. Rabies, dewormed, tx flea preventative, heartworm tested (-),~4-5years, ~60lbs, German Shepherd/Black Lab.

Shadow is a sweet, social and energetic girl. She is mature so past the mischievous puppy stages but still full of life. She loves to get outside and play fetch until your arm falls off but she is also calm and quiet indoors happily resting near her family. Shadow enjoys a good brisk walk each day and would love to find a family with a fenced yard so someone could play fetch every day as well. She’d be perfect for a family with a large property or cottage as she loves being outdoorsy with her family, she also doesn’t mind hang out outside if the weather is nice so she’d be happy to keep you company on the dock at the cottage, building a camp fire or just hiking and biking through the woods. Shadow is house trained and crate trained and is currently given free roam when alone and at night. She is calm, clean and quiet when left alone, she can be left for typical 9-5 work hours or she is friendly and nicely mannered enough to come to work with you or join you in the car running errands. Shadow “tolerates” other dogs and prefers to be the only pet in the home, she isn’t a dog park kind of dog as she prefers to just spend time with her people on regular leash walks or on walking trails. We have not had Shadow around felines but suspect she would be fine with a leashed introduction. Shadow loves people of all ages and would be best suited to a home with older kids that can help with her daily care like brushing, feeding and of course playing ball! Shadow is a loyal companion, she bonds with her person/people and listens well when off leash (after she has gotten used to your family). She is a rather “low maintenance” pooch that could easily go to obedience classes and learn more with her family or just be happy with the basics around the home. She is a good watch dog only barking to alert when necessary but always greeting guests with sloppy kisses and a wagging tail. We’d really like to see Shadow in a house with a fenced yard.
