My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mars, also known as, "Marzie Face", "Wiggle Butt", and "Marzipan" is truly one of our rescue favorites. He is a sweet, adorable, energetic 8-10 mos old dachshund or corgi and pug cross puppy that weighs about 17 lbs and has a lot of love to give. He is currently fostered with other large and small breed dogs and doing great! He was rescued on his last day from Baldwin Park shelter. Mars has had some obedience training and will sit politely and walk nicely on a leash and harness. He loves to play tug and is learning to play fetch. He is a smart boy that learns new things quickly. He excels with clicker training and positive methods. Mars is housetrained and gets along well with dogs and cats. He is not mischievous or destructive and is very gentle with his toys. After he gets his wiggles out, he loves to cuddle and be close to you. Mars is a puppy and will need someone committed to continuing his training and giving him the love, patience, and understanding that he needs. He would do best in a home where is not left for long hours and where there are no small children. He loves other dogs but would be perfectly content as an only dog as well.
