Meet Caprice! This brindle babe embodies the description "easy-going"! At just a little over three years old, Caprice has hit the gentle lady stage of her life--all those puppy behaviors are in the past. She's now taking a Pit Stop in foster care so she can enjoy the comforts of home life while she waits for her forever family to adopt her.
She's extremely loving, loyal and calm and easily bonds to her people. Caprice has perfect house manners to boot--she is house trained, quiet and good in her kennel and doesn't bark a lot or chew on things that aren't hers. Would she like a treat for being so good? Yes, please! She will take treats oh-so-gently from anyone kind enough to give her one (or three).
Caprice's favorite pastimes include: Playing tug with her toys, displaying her treats with pride, chewing on her squeaky toys, taking a shower (yes, you read that right--this girl appreciates good hygiene!), enjoying quality time with her Kong and checking on the dogs next door (it's good to know what they’re up to). She also absolutely loves her cuddle time with her people on a comfy couch!
She is already very smart and knows how to go to her kennel when asked, how to sit, lay down and take a treat. Her Foster Mom is a dog trainer and owns
Paw-N-Hand K9 so she is certainly enjoying the benefit of daily lessons while on her Pit Stop. Her future family will want to continue her training through formal obedience classes to quickly establish a bond and help Caprice learn to look to them for direction and cues.
The great thing about adopting a dog from a Pit Stop is that you know just what you are getting--no need to play a guessing game and hope for the best! Caprice is currently living with young children--ages 2, 4 and 10 at her Pit Stop and she adores them! She has not been tested around cats so we like to error on the side of caution for your feline friend's sake. We do know she seems to like most dogs she meets, she'd just need to do a pet meet first and then go slow with integration into a home with another pet, so that they can get off on the right foot together.
Foster Mom reports that Caprice is just awesome--she will make a great addition to someone's household! If you like cuddling with someone who won't kick you out of bed for eating crackers and will gladly make you the center of her world, then contact us to set up a meeting with this special girl!

BAPBR adoption guidelines:
No same-sex pit bull terrier type dog pairings.
Same-sex adoptions with other breeds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, though not preferred.
Indoor homes only – we do not adopt out “outdoor” dogs or “guard” dogs.
Please note that adoption applicants must own their own home. A BAPBR representative will conduct a home check. There will be no exceptions made to this rule, due to the frequent restrictions on apartments, and rental homes.
I am looking for a leader who will keep up my training, and always show me boundaries and consistency. This will ensure that I keep giving my breed a good name. Our personalities are energetic, loyal, intelligent, fun loving, and affectionate. We require intelligent, responsible, and dedicated leadership. Because of our undeserved negative media image, human companions living with Pit Bull Terrier type dogs have to be more careful and responsible than the average human dog companion.
"To the world you may be just one person, but to a dog you are the world."
"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich."
