Confident and curious, LUCKY CHARM is 7 lbs of kid-friendly, Chihuahua! Neglected under the callous hands of a backyard breeder, LUCKY CHARM never learned how to interact with the world around him outside the small cage in which he was kept. He seems determined to make up for lost time and at only 3 years old - he has many more years to figure things out! LUCKY CHARM will follow the lead of other dogs and just discovered the joy of leash walking with a pack! He is smart, happy and ready to embrace all that life brings - especially if that means the kind of love offered only by a forever family!

UPDATE: We just discovered that little Lucky has heartworms and he will be undergoing treatment for the next four weeks. He can still be adopted during that time as long as it is to a home where he can be kenneled/kept in a low-key/low-activity environment while his body tangles with getting rid of this very preventable infestation. Ay Chihuahua Rescue remains committed to the veterinary costs during treatment. Should a family decide to become a "temporary foster to adopt" they would be able at the end of his treatment time to return him to Ay Chihuahua Rescue if they decided that he was not the best match for their particular family dynamic.
