Update 2/4/12: Meet Charlie!
Charlie is a 1 year old Terrier mix that is looking for a home. Charlie has had a rough go of it lately and is recovering from leg surgery. We are trying to line him up with a home for when he finishes his healing/rehab. Keep reading to learn Charlie's story...
When Charlie was found in the streets of Hartford, Hartford's animal control officer called the Sadie Mae foundation to see if we could possibly help and give this boy a chance. Charlie had been hit by a car and had a broken front leg which was broken at the joint and growth plate. Charlie needs surgery to repair his leg which will include having pins put in. This is a very expensive surgery that will also require months of rehab. Charlie is approximately 1 year old he deserves a chance. This is the second dog in just a few months that Sadie Mae has been asked to help with an expensive surgery. So we are reaching out once again to ask for your help in helping Charlie. If you can make a donation no amount is too small. Here are three ways that you can make a donation for Charlie.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we
do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as
easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit
www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
