Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BREAKING NEWS: Aubrey was awarded her AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification (12/15/11). She passed the CGC test with flying colors. This girl is a ROCKSTAR!!! STUNNING, GORGEOUS, WOW!! Only a few of the words to describe our beautiful girl Aubrey. This girl is going to be a SUPERSTAR!!! Look at the gorgeous BLUE eyes on this sweetheart. Aubrey is a young, 1 1/2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. Aubrey is one smart little girl, she recently completed Basic Obedience and is currently participating in Intermediate Obedience. She is well on her way to earning her CGC (Canine Good Citizen certification). Once she completes her Intermediate class we will start her in AKC Rally Obedience. Our Dog Trainer is so impressed with this girl she wants us to start doing competitive AKC Rally!!! Aubrey really really wants so much to please her people. She's a real head turner too. Her markings don't show up in pictures which is too bad because they are awesome!!
Aubrey hasn't had an easy start to life. Her previous owners abandoned her and she was eventually picked up as a stray. How anyone could abandon a beautiful, sweet dog like this is beyond reason. Because she was abandoned she will need a little time to bond and learn to trust her new family. So patience will be key. Life on the streets isn't easy for these guys, people yelling at you, chasing you, throwing things at you, it's pretty scary! But Aubrey thrives on human attention and companionship. Aubrey will excel in a home where she will recieve alot of one-on-one training, love and attention. She does get along with other dogs, so if you have a neutered, non-dominant male in need of a buddy, she might be the girl for you. She needs a calm, stable environment with people who like to walk, run, hike, play, etc. and older children (over 13 years old). We are currently working on house manners and crate training and she is doing amazingly well. This sweetheart is an active, intelligent, loving dog who will make some lucky family a wonderful companion! We would love it if Aubrey goes to a home where she will continue with formal training (Agility, Rally, Obedience, etc.)
Aubrey is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines and current on heart worm preventative and frontline plus. If you would like to adopt this sweetheart please email us at ruffnreadyrescue@yahoo.com. Adoption fee is $150.
(All our dogs are living in private homes. We do not have a shelter/kennel. We ask you to fill out an application before meeting our guys so that we get to know you a bit before inviting you into our homes. All our dogs receive professional training both in group classes and one-on-one. We have a great deal of time and love invested in each and every one of these awesome dogs!!)
