My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the light of ESAR's eyes... Jonah. This amazing 2 year old boy cat has been nothing but a delight since the moment he chose us. Walking home from work, one of our volunteers spotted him on our block and lured him over with pets - he was shy, but she promised she would come back from him, but she didn't have to, because a few days later, he literally jumped into the arms of another volunteer as she was walking passed the same spot! He let her carry him an entire avenue home, not once fretting about being held by a stranger, and settled in immediately, as if he wanted to stay. Jonah is named for the boy in "the Giver" with his clear green eyes... he seems to see right through to your heart, and is the perfect friend to tell your secrets to. He even hugs his friends around the neck. Yes, really. He's a big boy, definitely two arms full of lean, healthy cat. He was already neutered when we found him - so he was obviously someone's pet. Jonah gets along perfectly with every cat he's ever met. There aren't enough positive things to say about this boy, who deserves to finally settle in with family in a real home for him to call his own. Jonah is waiting patiently for his forever home in the local NYC area.
