My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Squidward" the Royal Palm Turkey came to us on Christmas day after being found hanging out in one of our foster homes back yards. He had stayed there for several days until those involved became concerned for his safety and were able to confine him in a secure enclosure. After extensive research, it became clear that "Squidward" could not be united with other turkeys again for fear that he would be rejected and attacked. A search for his original home turned up nothing and the question as to where "Squidward" would live from now on has weighed on everyone's mind and we have decided to place him up for adoption! We have grown attached to this beautiful bird and he will only go to the right home as a pet, not for food purposes. We also don't want him going to live with other turkeys at this time due to the fear of him becoming injured.

"Squidward" is definitely entertaining. He 'gobbles' quite loudly and you must be prepared for this noise. He is quite messy as well and needs the area in which he lives to be of good size and cleaned regularly. "Squidward" will need a shelter of somekind so that he can be safe from any kind of wheather. He does fly a small amount and can jump quite high, as he enjoys to perch. "Squidward's" diet consists of vegetation, insects, and turkey/chicken scratch. We are positive that "Squidward" is a male as he often displays his manly feathers, and we know that he is an adult turkey. If you have a barn, or other poultry (like chickens), and wouldn't mind adding a new addition to your flock, please contact us! We are not asking any adoption fee for "Squidward", we just want him in a safe and enriching environment where he can live out his turkey days.
