Barney is an active and incredibly smart boy who likes nothing more than to stretch his legs at the beach or the park. He'd suit an active person or family who wants an outgoing and friendly companion. If you're looking for an agility dog then he's The One for you! Barney might not play with toys much, but he has an amazing ability to jump 5 feet into your arms for a kiss. He can sit, lay down, and roll over - and with the right person could keep on learning even more tricks. Barney is quick and smart and loves a challenge. He loves his Kong toys and loves to go for runs and car rides. Barney gets along well with children and other dogs, but his foster family suggests there be no other male dogs in his adoptive home. He can be bouncey when exicted to see you, so very small children might not be best. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs, and children aged two and 8 years old. Barney is still not 100% percent on housetraining, but he can use the doggie door. We are working on teaching him when it's OK to jump up (or not), and also when it's time to settle down and "chill" on the couch. Barney will be happiest in a home with a fenced in yard that's over 5 feet high. He loves to get on the trampoline with the kids and go for runs with the fosterdaddy.
