Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wouldn't you love to be kissed by Miss Sunkist??? This approximately 30lb, 2yo little gal reportedly showed up at a man's house as a stray. The shelter reports that the man who brought Sunkist in "just couldn't say enough good things about this dog." However, he said she couldn't stay there because his personal Yorkie was aggressive to Sunkist and Sunkist was just "docile & pitiful" (Sunkist was not aggressive in return at all but rather totally submissive to the aggressive Yorkie). Sunkist has done very well with other dogs at the shelter. She has not been cat- or kid-tested. We have no ideal about Sunkist's true breed mix but what we do know is that she's definitely a mix of love bug and lap dog!
We are blessed to have had Sunkist photograhed by Freddie of Frederica Georgia Photography (www.fredericageorgia.com). Here's what Freddie had to say after Sunkist's photo shoot: "This dog brightened the room like a ray of sunshine...with looks, an expression and a disposition that said, 'happy, happy, happy'..." This ray of sunshine is on stray hold until 1-27-2012, at which time she will be available for adoption! Please consider Sunkist as she is sure to brighten up your life!
UPDATE 1-29-2012: Sunkist is now living in a foster home as part of the ACAC Foster Program. We have discovered that she in not cat-friendly and, thus, will need a cat-free home!
The shelter does not have the ability to heartworm testing, deworming or vaccinations on-site; however, for reputable rescues, local volunteer assistance is available for transport to a local Vet clinic for such testing and to obtain appropriate vaccines and Health Certificate at the rescue's expense.
