Please also be aware that all of our cats and kittens will only be adopted out to homes which do not plan on having them de-clawed. If this is something you feel is important, however, we do have quite a few cats that have come into the rescue already de-clawed by their former owners. These guys and gals are of all ages, cuddly and very affectionate. We would overjoyed to put you in contact with them if you are at all interested.
Meet Lusa!
Lusa is a beautiful little lady who was trying very desperately to find herself a home on a cold and chilly morning after a full night of frost. Unfortunately, the lady who owned the townhouse she kept trying to run into didn't appreciate her inviting herself in and wanted her gone immediately.
Only a step away from being hauled off to a cold metal cage at animal control, Lusa luckily was in the right place at the right time and, instead, was brought into rescue.
This little Maine Coon beauty with the golden eyes is destined to become someone's baby. Not only is she striking to look at, but her personality will make the sun come out on even the cloudiest day. She is playful and outgoing, friendly and just plain a joy to be around. Never one to let let someone pass by without a greeting this little kitty will melt your heart and meet you at the door when you come home. She will wind herself about your ankles and loves nothing better then to be cradled in your arms. She loves everyone- children included!
Not much seems to bother this little lady and she shows every sign of getting along very well both with other cats and dogs.
Lusa has been examined by a vet, is vaccinated and is thought to be around 8 to 9 months old. She has been de-flea'd (is on Vectra), shows no signs of having intestinal parasites and is Feline Leuk/FIV negative. Lusa currently has an appointment to be spayed on Feb 1st 2012.
