Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Dottie and I was a stray that someone dropped along side a busy intersection. I made my way into a neighborhood where I could look for food and warmth. I was seen many days by the locals raiding trashcans and running down streets. I didn't want anyone to catch me so I ran, fearing for my life when people got close. I secretly hoped someone would catch me as I really missed having a place to sleep at night and as little as it was, I had food before I was dropped off. Why was I dropped, you ask? Because I had puppies. I didn't know I should not have them and could not stop the process.... I was thrown out just as my puppies were weaned. The lady I am with now says she can tell by the way I looked when I first came into the pound. I don't know what she means by that exactly but I know it's true. I don't know what happened to my beautiful puppies, I only know that I had no home after they put me beside the road.
One day I was especially hungry and I didn't see the lady coming behind me while I was digging for food. The first thing I knew, there were hands around me and I was being lifted up. At first I was scared, of course but I soon realized she was not going to hurt me. I was taken to a place where I was warm and got fed every day but I didn't like it much. I heard from the others it was not a happy place, that dogs got killed here and I didn't want to be one of those. At first I cried loudly trying to get back to the streets because I was so afraid I would be the next one chosen to be put to sleep. There was an old girl that lived in the kennel next to me and she warned me that it wasn't a good idea to be all that loud so I decided to become the invisible dog, sitting quietly so no one would notice me.
The I saw that SWEETPUPS truck drive up while I was looking out the back kennel. And the lady came and lifted me up, put me in the arms of a sweet little boy and I went home with her.
I am not interviewing people for my forever home. HOPE IT"S YOU!
