My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wesley is not perfect but he is an adorable, intensely loving 3-year old Chihuahua or Rat Terrier (Rattie) mix who ended up at a high kill county shelter when his previous Owners did not want him any more due to his permanently injured left back paw. This old injury has left him with just one toe, but he still walks around just fine and if he needs to run he just picks up that leg and motors on three.

Wesley is very striking with his smart black and white colouring, which easily mimics a miniature Border Collie.

Wesley weights at the most 6-lbs, is fine-boned and has a silky medium-length coat. He is very loving, and submissive in nature. He gets along well with other small-breed dogs, does well being crated, walks well on a leash and rides very well in the car. He adores toys and will play for hours! Wesley is more on the sensitive side so he will need a low-key Pet Parent who rewards with positive reinforcement. He does bark, as per his breed. He will reward you with his loyalty and undying love. Wesley has learned "Sit" "Wait" and "Watch Me" and loves obedience training, so we hope his Adoptive Pet Parent will want to continue his training.
