Zena is a sweetheart and a joy to own! She is a pretty, 6 yr old Shepherd/Lab mix that is so loveable and low maintenance. She is at that wonderful age where she is still fun and playful yet spends most of her time lounging around. A nice walk, comfy couch and lots of kisses is all this girl needs to be happy. She is so easy...that is why I call her the Dream Dog.
Zeenie Beanie is a laid-back girl that lives to love!! She will be your guardian angel and never leave your side. It will melt your heart the way she looks at you so lovingly and will come over just to give you kisses...especially when you are having a bad day. Zena is a gem to be treasured. She was surrendered by her owner due to financial hardship and foreclosure. This is the second time this has happened to poor Zena...but she is still hopeful that the third time will be her charm!
Nothing makes her happier than rides and walks...well, except maybe bedtime. Zena's face lights up when you say those magic words..."Do you wanna go for a ride??" She starts to wiggle with delight and will wait for you by the door. She will welcome you home by bringing you a toy from her toy box.....it is sure to be the highlight of your day. She will make you laugh when she does her "twirly-birds" where she will go round and round in a circle. I call her my "Twirly Girl" Check out her adorable video!
Zena is well-behaved, housebroken and very obedient. She is good on a leash and an extra bonus....she never poops on her walks..never! (how great is that!) Zena would do best with a family that is home more often. She gets along with most dogs and does well with cats. She is good with kids and loves them when they come for a visit...but also likes when they go home :) She would prefer a home without young children where she can live the easy life and be the center of attention. The prospective owner must agree to a screening process that includes an application, phone interview, pre/post adoption home visits and the signing of an adoption contract. Our goal is to find the best match for our dogs and their new families, so that everyone lives happily ever after.
