Hi, my name is Bonnie! I am an adorable Schnauzer (mix), born approximately January 2010 and I weigh 18 pounds.
I am looking for a family to fall in love with me for my wonderful, sweetheart personality and have the patience to work at increasing my confidence. I am a bit shy around people until I get to know them. I could be a couch potato if left alone but can be a quick learner once I conquer my fears. My foster mom thinks I am making gains daily!
I have learned a LOT about life and love in the past month. Until early December I had not been inside a home. I have learned to walk on a leash and love my daily walks – though new people and things are still scary, at first. I ride in the car – in or out of my crate – without a problem. I am oh-so-gentle and do not chew or bark but I do love a nice lap to curl up on.
I will do best in a quiet home without young children or loud noises that may startle me. I'm not sure I even know what a cat is and can be a bit intimidated by other, more outgoing dogs.

All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. To set up a time to meet one of our animal companions, we must first have a completed application on file.

Please note that we do not adopt animal companions out to homes that show signs of indoor smoking. Adoption fee: $125
Adoption package: All animal companions adopted out of our foundation will have had a Well Pet Exam, be current on vaccines (cats: FVRCP, Rabies; dogs: DHPP, Rabies) according to age, treated for worms, fleas, and/or ear mites, and micro-chipped. Cats will be tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and cats 6+ months of age will be tested for FeLV & FIV. Animal companions will be neutered/spayed prior to or post adoption depending on his/her age.
