Update 12/28/11: Have you ever seen a more handsome puppy?!
This puppy and his TEN other siblings were born in a kill shelter! Working together with other rescuers, Sadie Mae Foundation became aware of the eleven puppies and their mom Brandy. Volunteers committed to helping this dog family in need. You can see Brandy and the other puppies posted under our rescue on PetFinder.
Brandy looks like she might be a Pit Bull / Shepherd mix, but we're really not sure. We have no idea who fathered these beautiful puppies. Each puppy is unique and some don't look like each other at all! We don't know how big or small they will be either - it's a mystery. Mom is 55lbs, so we are assuming her puppies will be medium sized dogs like her.
The puppy pictured in this posting is a handsome Tri-colored baby boy. He is just 4 weeks old right now and will be ready to go to an adoptive home when he is 8 weeks old (end of January 2012). He is one of the largest puppies in the litter, but one of the mellowest too.
No clue what breeds this puppy is. Your guess is as good as ours, but we made our best guess and listed the posting as such. His markings make him look like a wise little old man, don't you think so? This puppy is currently learning to eat out of a dish and to be paper trained. He is sweet with people and wags his tail when you enter the room.
We are looking for someone nice to come along and adopt this little boy This is a puppy and will need a lot of time, patience and training from anyone who adopts him. Be ready to do some work (it will be worth it in the end, we promise!)
Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this puppy? Fill-out an online adoption application via
www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $350 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption. Once the puppy is of an age where s/he can be spayed/neutered, adopters will be refunded $50 when proof of spay/neuter is provided to the rescue.
While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all puppies are given age-appropriate vaccines and dewormed. Other medical treatments may be provided to puppies, depending upon their specific needs.
Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we
do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as
easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit
www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
