Daisy - ARPH 9717
Daisy is a ten year old red merle, she is fully vetted, spayed and on heartworm preventionn.
Daisy was turned into us after her days as a breeding dog finally ended. Sadly it has take a toll on her with having multiple litters. Her girlish figure is long gone now, weighing in at over 70 pounds now when we got her but she has worked hard to slim down. Although facing many obstacles, Daisy has a great outlook on life, she is truly thankful for this second chance for love.
Daisy is a gentle and loving soul, she is a beauty of a dog who is just rough around the edges right now. She is quickly learning that we are here to help her and not hurt her. Right now she is taking small walks a couple of times a day and trying hard to stick to her diet!
Daisy is almost ready for adoption she depends heavily on Dixie to see how to react to things. She is well mannerd in the house and is housebroken. She is doing wonderful with her weight loss at currently 66 pounds now! She enjoys walks and love to have her head rubbed. Her dream home would be one with Dixie but we know that may not be possible, she is a very sweet dog and would love a quiet calm home where she can relax during the day and go for long walks. She is fine with other dogs and we feel a home with other dogs would help her to gain more confidence. She rides well in the car also.
Many people would balk at adopting a ten year old dog but older pets make some of the best family members out there, no bad habits, less energy and lots of love to give. Everyone deserves a second chance and Daisy is hoping that someone out there will have a big heart and give her a second chance.
