My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Susie was surrendered by her owners who had no time for her. Unfortunately they did not take very good care of her and she suffered from neglect. She has been in foster care for a few weeks and is gaining weight and getting healthy. Susie is an 8 yr old purebred shih tzu weighing about 12-15 lbs. She takes some time to warm up to new people but bonds quickly. Her ideal home would be an older person or couple looking for a low maintenance companion. Susie loves to ride in the car and cuddle with her people. She has not been socialized with children so she needs an adult only home. She is fine with other animals. Susie is housebroken and crate-trained. She came into rescue with some minor health issues. Her eyes do not produce enough tears so she needs eye drops. She also has a grade 1 luxating patella but shows no symptoms of lameness and it requires no treatment. Her adoption fee is $300. Please email us at baystatedogs@yahoo.com for an application.
