Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CeCe is one lucky dog. The backyard breeder she belonged to had to move, necessitating getting rid of all of her dogs. CeCe made it just in time too. When she arrived, she was the “perfect” puppy. Willing to cuddle all day, stayed where you put her, didn’t need to eat etc. After an afternoon of this, her foster mom was alarmed at her lethargy so off to vet she went. It turns out CeCe had a very serious case of anemia due to untreated parasites. Needless to say, once she received treatment she quickly became a normal puppy. (ie: adorable one moment and a pain in the butt the next).
CeCe is a typical puppy. She will chew on whatever strikes her fancy at the moment. She loves to play racetrack in the yard and to investigate in the bushes. She is very energetic and when she crashes, she would love it to be on her person’s lap or bed.
While CeCe is extremely loving , she definitely needs more socialization. She is very reactive to sounds and new people. (ie: she barks!) She is not going to be an appropriate dog for an apartment. Her new home needs to take her out and about every day and take her to puppy socialization classes to help CeCe become a confident dog. CeCe very much would like to have another dog in her new home. And because we think CeCe will be a very long doxie, she will need a home that is all one level.
Her ideal home will also have the following attributes:
• Someone at home most of the day, stay-at-home moms/dads and folks who work from home.
• Previous dachshund experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Another dachshund for play and companionship.
• A very secure INDOOR place for CeCe to be when no one is at home.
• Applicants should be between 25 and 65 years of age.•
No infants or toddlers, please, but we will consider families with gentle children.
Cece is spayed and current on her vaccinations.
If you are interested in Cece , please fill out an adoption application at www.scdr.org and email Lindy at linla@comcast.net.
The tax deductible donation for CeCe is $400.
